Biography

James, a min­is­ter, was the son of Ben­ja­min Dil­lon Mid­yett and Eli­sa­beth Bar­bee, and hus­band of Ma­ry Ell­en Fair­child.

He a­ttend­ed Will­iam Jew­ell Col­lege, Li­ber­ty, Mis­sou­ri, and South­ern Bap­tist Col­lege (lo­ca­tion uncer­tain).
