Biography

Alda was the daugh­ter of Ed­ward Mil­ner-Barry who was vi­car of Sco­thorn for 38 years.

She was a stu­dent—and sub­se­quent­ly hon­or­ary lec­tur­er—at St. Chris­to­pher’s Col­lege, Black­heath. She was al­so Lec­tur­er in Eng­lish at Birm­ing­ham Uni­vers­ity.
