Biography

Alfred was the son of Tho­mas and Fan­ny Mor­ti­mer.

An Epis­co­pal min­is­ter, he served as rec­tor of Saint Ma­ry’s, Sta­ten Is­land, New York (1880–92) and rec­tor of Saint Mark’s, Phi­la­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia (1892–1912).
