Biography

Francis was the son of John Marv­in Nash I.

A sing­er, com­pos­er, and con­duct­or, he taught pi­ano­for­te, vio­lin, and sing­ing, and gave mu­sic in­struct­ion in the New York Ci­ty pub­lic schools. Some pub­li­ca­tions re­fer to him as Pro­fess­or Nash.

As of 1862, he lived in El­to­na, Mor­ris­an­ia, the Bronx, New York Ci­ty.
