Biography

Anne was the daugh­ter of ar­my Bri­ga­dier Ge­ne­ral Jo­seph B. Sweet, and wife of Ray­mond C. Ort­lund, pas­tor of Lake Ave­nue Con­gre­ga­tion­al Church, Pa­sa­de­na, Ca­li­for­nia.

She was edu­cat­ed at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Red­lands, Ca­li­for­nia.

A mem­ber of the Am­eri­can Guild of Or­gan­ists, she played the or­gan for the Old Fa­shioned Re­viv­al Hour and The Joy­ful Sound ra­dio pro­grams.

She wrote some two do­zen hymns and tunes.
