Biography

Educated at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Ed­in­burgh (MB & CM, 1884), Pal­mer was or­dained a dea­con in 1889, and priest in 1890.

He served as as­sist­ant cur­ate at St. Sav­iour’s, Leeds (1889–93); mis­sion­ary in Zan­zi­bar (1893–1902); ass­ist­ant cur­ate at St. John’s, Cleve­don, So­mer­set (1902–04); vi­car of Kir­ton-in-Hol­land, Lin­coln­shire (1904–16); rur­al dean of Holl­and W. (1910–16); ca­non of Zan­zi­bar (1928); and chap­lain to the Bi­shop of Zan­zi­bar (1926).
