The 1940 cen­sus shows Palm­gren mar­ried to Es­ter Palm­gren, liv­ing on 181st Street in Bronx, New York. We spe­cu­late he may be Ger­hard Wil­helm Palm­gren (1880–1959), bur­ied in Pine Grove Ce­me­te­ry, Lynn, Mas­sa­chu­setts.
