Biography

Son of War­ne­frid (or Wi­ne­frid), Paul was for some time tu­tor to Ad­el­per­ga, daugh­ter of De­sid­de­ri­us, the last of the Lom­bard kings.

He then lived at the court of her hus­band, Ari­chi­si­us of Be­ne­ven­to. Even­tu­al­ly he be­came a monk at Mon­te Cas­si­no.
