Pendleton was this au­thor’s maid­en name. The mu­sic for some of her ly­rics was com­posed by one H. H. Pen­dle­ton, pre­su­ma­bly a re­la­tive.

Her song Beau­ti­ful Stars was pub­lished in 1877 in Os­ka­loo­sa, Io­wa.
