Biography

Myra was the daugh­ter of min­is­ter Tho­mas A. Good­win. In 1885, she mar­ried Sam­uel Plantz, who was pre­si­dent of Law­rence Uni­ver­si­ty, Ap­ple­ton, Wis­con­sin (1894–1924).

She at­tend­ed Mount Ver­non Se­mi­na­ry in Wash­ing­ton, DC; taught at DePauw Uni­ver­si­ty, Green­cas­tle, In­di­ana; and worked in ev­an­gel­ism for the Wo­men’s Chris­tian Tem­per­ance Union.
