Born: March 4, 1894, Moig­rad-Po­ro­lis­sum, Ro­man­ia. Some sourc­es give his birth­place as Hun­ga­ry (known in Hun­gar­ian as Moj­grád): The town was part of the of king­dom of Hun­ga­ry in the Mid­dle Ag­es, but after the Ot­to­man Em­pire de­feat­ed the Hun­gar­ian ar­my at the Bat­tle of Mo­hács in 1526, the king­dom of Hun­gary frac­tured, and Moi­grad be­came part of the Prin­ci­pal­ity of Tran­syl­van­ia around 1570, and lat­er pre­sent day Ro­man­ia.

Died: Jan­ua­ry 14, 1949.

Buried: In­ter­na­tion­al Or­der of Odd Fel­lows Ce­me­te­ry, Pinck­ney­ville, Il­li­nois.

Biography

A min­is­ter, Vasile was the son of Ioan Pro­dan and Ani­ca Ba­la­nean, and hus­band of Cle­da Blanche New­ville.
