Buried: Grace­land Ce­me­te­ry, Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois.

Biography

Richardson be­came a na­tur­al­ized Am­eri­can ci­ti­zen in 1905 in Mas­sa­chu­setts.

He was edu­cat­ed at Law­rence Col­lege, Bos­ton Uni­ver­si­ty, and the Bos­ton Uni­ver­si­ty School of Theo­lo­gy (Ba­che­lor of Sac­red Theo­lo­gy, 1906).

He be­came a Meth­o­dist min­is­ter, pas­tored in Wis­con­sin and Mas­sa­chu­setts, taught at the Boston Uni­ver­si­ty School of Theo­lo­gy (1911–19), and was dean of the North­field Sum­mer School of Re­li­gious Edu­ca­tion (1919–24).

He lat­er served on the fa­cul­ty at North­west­ern Uni­ver­si­ty, Ev­an­ston, Il­li­nois, and Mc­Cor­mick Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry in Chi­ca­go.
