Died: November 15, 1906, Ludwigslust, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
August was the son of Ernst Heinrich Rische and Karoline Louisa Elise Christiani. He married twice: to Ida Volkening and (after Ida’s death), to her sister Klara Volkening.
After graduating from the Gymnasium in Minden, he studied in Halle and Münster, finishing his theological examinations in autumn 1842 and 1844.
In 1844, Rische became vicar and tutor under pastor Johann Heinrich Volkening in Jöllenbeck.
In 1849, at the request of Ludwig Feldner, Rische became Inspector of the newly founded Evangelical Society for Germany. In 1850m he was appointed parish administrator in Bad Lippspringe, then a pastor in Schwinkendorf in 1852.
For ten years, Rische wrote for the Sonntagsblätter in Mecklenburg.
