Biography

An Eng­lish pi­an­ist, once a pu­pil of Men­dels­sohn and of Stern­dale Ben­nett, Rock­stro was in­flu­en­tial in mu­sic­al edu­ca­tion and in mu­sic ge­ne­ral­ly. One of his most po­pu­lar songs was Queen and Hunt­ress.
