Biography

Jens was the son of Mat­thi­as Ja­cob Schjør­ring and Ni­co­line Ring. He married twice: to Mette Ma­rie Ol­sen (1857) and Ca­ro­line Ma­thil­de An­der­sen (1890).

He is re­mem­bered as a priest and psalm­ist. In 1895, he be­came a Rid­der av Dan­ne­brog­ord­en­en (Knight of the Or­der of the Dane Bridge).
