Biography

Alpheus was the son of Ad­am Sem­bow­er and Eve Mar­ga­ret Ruff, and hus­band of He­le­na K. Knowl­ton.

He was pas­tor of the First Bap­tist Church, Potts­ville, Penn­syl­van­ia (1868–72).
