Biography

Sheeles was a harp­si­chord­ist and com­pos­er at the Lit­tle The­a­ter in the Hay­mar­ket, Lon­don. He was ac­tive in the Roy­al So­cie­ty of Mu­si­cians from 1739 to at least 1756.

He col­lab­o­rat­ed a num­ber of times with po­et Chris­to­pher Smart af­ter the two met in the Vaux­hall Gar­dens mu­sic­al sa­lons.
