Biography

Small at­tend­ed the Uni­ver­si­ty of Ed­in­burgh, stu­died di­vi­ni­ty un­der Dr. Chalm­ers, and in 1834 joined the Free Church of Scot­land.

In 1847 he be­came min­is­ter of the Free Church at Ber­vie, near Mon­trose.
