Biography

Frank was the son of Da­ni­el Frank­lin South­wick.

He stu­died mu­sic un­der Theo­dore Tho­mas, Ot­to Singe­r and George E. Whit­ing of New York.

At age 15, he be­came or­gan­ist of the First Bap­tist Church, Me­ri­den, Con­nec­ti­cut. He lat­er played the or­gan at:

• Christ Church, Hart­ford, Con­nec­ti­cut
• Church of the Ho­ly Tri­ni­ty, Mid­dle­town, Con­nec­ti­cut
• First Pres­by­ter­ian Church, Eng­le­wood, New Jer­sey
• Church of the Ho­ly Tri­ni­ty, St. An­drew’s & the West End Pres­by­ter­ian Church, New York Ci­ty
