Squires was a mini­ster.

We spe­cu­late he might be Nor­man J. Squires (1841–1919), who is bur­ied in Oak Grove Ce­me­te­ry, West Ha­ven, Con­nec­ti­cut. The tom­bstone is in­scribed, Pas­tor of 1st Con­gre­ga­tion­al Church, 1880–1913.
