Biography

Adam was the son of Pe­ter Thebes, or Phebesi­us, pas­tor at Scif­fers­dorf.

He stu­died at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wit­ten­berg (MA 1617).

On No­vem­ber 24, 1619, he be­came pa­stor at Mond­schütz, near Wohl­au (now Wo­łów, Po­land). In 1627, he be­came pas­tor at Wohl­au. In 1639, he was ap­point­ed pas­tor of Saints Pe­ter and Paul, the prin­ci­pal church in Lieg­nitz, and in 1642 he al­so be­came as­sess­or of the con­sis­to­ry.
