As of 1905, Thor­en was pas­tor of the Be­than­ia Swed­ish Ev­an­ge­li­cal Lu­ther­an church in Min­ne­ap­olis, Min­ne­so­ta.

Copyright re­cords show him in Port­land, Ore­gon, in 1907. The 1940 cen­sus shows him in Queens, New York.
