Biography

Ulmann, an Epis­co­pal min­is­ter, held a Doc­tor of Di­vi­ni­ty de­gree.

He was as­sist­ant pas­tor at St. John’s Epis­co­pal Church, Yon­kers, New York, 1884–1885; rec­tor of Christ Church in Yon­kers; and, as of 1890, rec­tor of Tri­ni­ty School, New York Ci­ty.

He also served as rec­tor at St. Mat­thews Church (Ger­man), New­ark, New Jer­sey, from 1903 through at least 1916. When Ul­mann ar­rived there, the church was on the cor­ner of West Kin­ney and Charl­ton Streets. It moved to the cor­ner of Chad­wick and Av­on Streets in 1906.
