Biography

Frederick mar­ried twice: to Hen­ri­ette Raux (June 20, 1813, St. Mar­tin in the Fields, West­min­ster, Mid­dle­sex), and Cor­de­lia Tre­lud­dra (Jan­ua­ry 27, 1823, Hack­ney, Mid­dle­sex).

Born to an Ita­li­an fam­ily in France, he at­tend­ed the Pa­ris Con­ser­va­to­ry, and stu­died com­po­si­tion in Lon­don.

He di­rect­ed and com­posed for the ball­et or­ches­tra at the King’s The­ater, and joined the Roy­al So­ci­ety of Mu­si­cians of Great Bri­tain in 1810.

He re­tired to Exe­ter in 1858.
