Biography

Von Chris­tier­son was edu­cat­ed at Stan­ford Uni­ver­si­ty (BA in psy­cho­lo­gy, 1923) and San Fran­cis­co Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry (BD 1929).

He served as youth di­rect­or at the First Pres­by­te­ri­an Church, San Lu­is Obispo, Ca­li­for­nia; 14 years as pas­tor at Cal­va­ry Pres­by­te­ri­an Church, Ci­trus Heights, Ca­li­for­nia; and pas­tor of Tri­ni­ty Pres­by­te­ri­an Church, North Hol­ly­wood, Ca­li­for­nia.

In 1983, he be­came a Fel­low of the Hymn So­cie­ty.
