Biography

Walhout was edu­cat­ed at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mi­chi­gan, Ann Ar­bor, and North­west­ern Uni­ver­si­ty, Ev­an­ston, Il­li­nois. He be­came a pro­fessor of Eng­lish at Cal­vin Col­lege, Grand Ra­pids, Mi­chi­gan, in 1969.
