Biography

Mary was the daugh­ter of John Deck, sis­ter of hym­nist James Deck, and wife of Dr. Ed­ward Walk­er, some­time rec­tor of Chel­ten­ham, Eng­land (mar­ried 1848).

Several of her hymns ap­peared as leaf­lets, oth­ers in her hus­band’s Psalms and Hymns for Pub­lic and So­cial Wor­ship, 1855.
