Thomas A. Walmisley (1814-1856)

Walmisley be­came the or­gan­ist at Croy­don (1830); of Trin­i­ty & St. John’s Coll­eg­es, Cam­bridge (1833); Pro­fess­or of Mu­sic at Cam­bridge (1836), hav­ing com­posed his an­them Let God Arise for his MusB de­gree. He earned his BA in 1838, MA 1841, and MusD 1848.
