Born: Sep­tem­ber 4, 1852, Gus­tav­us, Ohio.

Died: Sep­tem­ber 11, 1882, Co­lo­ra­do Springs, Co­lo­ra­do. He and his wife Inez had been tra­vel­ing, on the ad­vice of his doc­tor, when he died of a lung hem­or­rhage.

Buried: North View Ce­me­te­ry, Gus­ta­vus, Ohio.

Williams taught mu­sic at George Root’s Nor­mal Mu­sic­al In­sti­tute in Er­ie, Penn­syl­van­ia.
