Biography

Love was the daugh­ter of Hen­ry Whit­comb and Love Fos­ter, and wife of Dr. Fred­er­ick Llew­ell­en Ho­vey Will­is of Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts (mar­ried 1858).

A Uni­ta­ri­an, at var­ious times she ed­it­ed The Ban­ner of Light in Bos­ton, and Tif­fa­ny’s Month­ly Ma­ga­zine.

She lat­er lived for ma­ny years in Ro­chester, New York. By 1907, she was liv­ing in Gle­no­ra, New York, on Se­ne­ca Lake.
