Biography

Vida was the daugh­ter of Al­ex­an­der Hale Smith and Eli­za­beth Ken­dall. She mar­ried twice: to Her­man Con­oman Smith (June 2, 1886, In­de­pend­ence, Mis­sou­ri), and James El­mer Yates (Oc­to­ber 2, 1926).
