Thank Him for every blessing you receive,
Ask for His mercies for this bright new day;
Trust every step you take in life’s long way,

Thank Him for lips and pen to praise His name,
Ask for His grace to deal with unbelief;
Trust Him to turn the evil into good,

Come to the Lord now, night advances soon!
Thank Him for every race that you have won,
Ask for His pardon when you go astray;
