Let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice.
Psalm 5:11

I now rejoice in Thee
And hail Thy advent lowly,
For, sweetest Jesus, Thou
Art come with purpose holy.
My brother dear to be,
O bliss beyond compare!
How lovely He appears,
The Son of God so fair.
His boundless majesty
The God of all creation
Veils in our mortal flesh
For all the world’s salvation.
The Lord Omnipotent
So meekly draweth near,
Comes as a little child,
And is my Jesus dear.
O tidings of great joy,
My heart with rapture filling
Through adamantine rocks
With sweetest impulse thrilling.
O Jesus, dearest Child,
Whose faith on Thee relies,
And calls upon Thy name
Dies not, whene’er he dies.
Then will I cling to Thee,
O Jesus dear, forever,
Though all the heavens fail
My love they shall not sever.
O Jesus, but for Thee,
For Thee alone I live.
To Thee alone in death
My spirit will I give.
