Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

Let all adore the immortal King,
Maker of Heaven and earth;
Angels and men, rejoice and sing,
At our Immanuel’s birth.
A son is born, a child is given,
That mortals, born again,
May in the new-made earth and Heaven,
With God for ever reign.
Father, Thy heavenly voice I own,
Thy gracious majesty:
Thro’ Jesus Thy belovèd Son,
Thou art well pleased with me!
But our whole race to Christ unite
And by Thy Spirit joined,
Thou wilt eternally delight
In all Thy ransomed kind.
Salvation from our sins we found,
Thro’ Jesu’s grace forgiven;
And Jesu’s grace doth more abound,
And makes us meet for Heaven.
The hallowing virtue of Thy name,
Our spotless souls shall prove;
And to the utmost saved, proclaim
Our Lord’s almighty love.
