Merciful God, vouch­safe to me,
That last trans­cend­ent vic­to­ry;
That crown of all Thy grac­es give,
And bid me in Thine im­age live,
’Till wholly sanc­ti­fied I rise,
To feast on Christ in pa­ra­dise.

Christ is the Tree of Life di­vine;
I live in­deed, if Christ be mine;
And when He doth Him­self be­stow,
My God as I am known, I know,
And all the life of glo­ry prove,
For ev­er filled with heav’n­ly love.
