Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Now is the saint’s salvation come,
The strength that slays the beast of Rome,
The kingdom of our God below,
The power of Christ against our foe,
Which forces Satan to submit,
Forever bruised beneath our feet.
Now the old dragon is o’erthrown,
Th’accuser of the saints cast down,
The grand deceiver of mankind,
Who brought their secret sins to mind,
And charged them at the bar of God,
’Till covered with their Savior’s blood.
But trusting in the martyred Lamb,
The witnesses their foe o’ercame,
The blood that calmed their sprinkled hearts,
By that they quenched his fiery darts,
And holding fast the sacred Word
They slew him with the Spirit’s sword.
Armed with the dear Redeemer’s mind
Their lives they cheerfully resigned,
Ambitious of the torturing flame,
They showed the power of Jesu’s name,
Rejoiced their faithfulness to prove,
And paid Him back His dying love.
Sing, ye inhabitants of Heaven,
The kingdom to Messias given,
T’extol the power of love divine,
Let all His saints and angels sing
While endless ages roll along,
And shout the Lamb’s triumphant song.
