Lyrics

Oh, where is the Hope of the world?
’Twas cradled in Bethlehem’s stall;
Since Jesus came down as a child,
There’s hope, blessèd hope for us all.

Refrain

Seek the Savior, early seek him today;
Ere the clouds of sorrow darken thy way;
God is ready to receive you now,
Oh, brother come today.

Oh, where is the Light of the world?
The Savior doth shine from above;
And makes e’en the night as the day,
He lightens our way with His love.

Refrain

Oh, where is the Joy of the world?
’Tis centered in Jesus, our friend;
In Him is our wellspring of joy,
The joy that is never to end.

Refrain

Oh, where is the Peace of the world?
’Tis found in our master divine;
Most precious this token to man,
Oh, help us, our Savior, be Thine.

Refrain

Oh, Hope, cheering Hope of the world;
O Light, safest guide on our way;
Oh, Joy, sweetest angel of earth;
Oh Peace, be thou ours while we stay.
