Lyrics

I will build my house upon the Rock,
And I know it will stand forever;
Tho’ the rains descend and fierce winds blow,
I am sure it will fall, no never.

Refrain

Christ is the Rock, Christ is the Rock,
Rock of my salvation;
Here will I build, here will I build,
On the sure foundation.

No foundation can by man be laid,
Than the one which the Lord hath taken;
’Tis a cornerstone, precious, elect,
By the tempests of earth ne’er shaken.

Refrain

On the solid rock I’ll dwell secure,
And I’ll sing of the sure foundation,
Till the storms of life are overpast,
Then rejoice in complete salvation.
