On life’s voyage we are sailing,
And our Savior on the sea
Comes to guide the ever failing,
Saying, Children, trust in Me.
Resting on His love and mercy,
Through all storms the way we tread,
Sinking when the waters hide Him,
Safe while by His hand we’re led.
Walk with Him in nights of danger,
Faith will lead us safely through;
On the sea as in the manger,
Light will come if we are true.
Through these storms of light and shadow
In the ship of Christ we roam,
Knowing fairer winds will bring us
Shortly to our Father’s home.
