Note: In the instructions below, entries in this color should be in Hindi, and entries in this color should be in the Latin alphabet (sometimes called the Roman alphabet).

Copyrights

If the hymn is copyrighted, you must first get the copyright owner’s written permission for us to post it. Please include contact information for the copyright owner so we can verify permissions.

New, Unpublished Translations

If the hymn is not a translation to Hindi from another language, or if it has already been published, skip this section. This section applies only to new translations not previously published.

1. Translations should be poetic, not literal. That is, they should have rhyme, and should be singable to music.
2. Because we do not speak Hindi, we cannot evaluate translation quality ourselves. Therefore, we request:
   • The translation must be by a Christian who is a native Hindi speaker.
   • Before sending a translation to us, have it reviewed by at least two other Christians who are native Hindi speakers.
