Biography

Armistead at­tend­ed the Roy­al Man­che­ster Col­lege of Music; Ow­en’s Col­lege, Man­ches­ter; and Ox­ford Uni­ver­si­ty (MusD).

He played the or­gan at the Wes­ley­an Church, Bri­er­field; the Wes­ley­an Church in Burn­ley (1908); and Ho­ly Tri­ni­ty Church, Burn­ley (1909).

He was a Fel­low of the Roy­al Col­lege of Or­gan­ists, As­so­ci­ate of the Roy­al Col­lege of Mu­sic, and As­so­ci­ate of the Roy­al Man­ches­ter Col­lege of Music.
