Biography

Annie was the wife of James Bark­er.

She be­came a school teach­er when Gos­pel songs were be­com­ing po­pu­lar in ev­an­gel­is­tic ser­vic­es in the 19th Cen­tu­ry, and wrote sev­er­al songs.

After mar­ry­ing, she and James moved to Mon­ta­na with the pio­neers.

In 1888, they moved to San Ra­fa­el, Ca­li­for­nia, where she lived the rest of her life.
