Biography

Samuel was the son of Wood­ford T. Beaz­ley and Belle Der­ia Wright, and hus­band of Ma­ry Lo­re­na Gar­ner.

He wrote over 4,000 songs, and taught in sing­ing schools for a de­cade, as well as five years at Shen­an­do­ah College in Win­che­ster, Vir­gin­ia. He was in­duct­ed in­to the Gos­pel Music Hall of Fame in 1992.
