Note: Ma­ny sourc­es give Blan­dy’s name as E. W. Blan­dy. His obit­ua­ry in the El­mi­ra Star-Ga­zette gives his name as Will­iam E. Blan­dy.

A na­tive of Eng­land, Blan­dy was a Me­tho­dist min­is­ter. His last pas­tor­ate was in Lock­wood, New York, where he served two years be­fore fall­ing ill.
