Died: Julian gives a death date of Ja­nu­ary 30, 1826, but this con­flicts with his Jan­ua­ry 27 bur­ial.

Buried: January 27, 1826, Eck­ing­ton, Der­by­shire, En­gland (con­tem­po­ra­ry bur­ial re­cord).

Biography

Bromehead’s fa­ther, al­so named Jo­seph, was born in Eck­ing­ton, and went to Lon­don to be ap­pren­ticed as a skin­ner. He stayed in Lon­don the rest of his life.

Joseph Jr. was edu­cat­ed at Queen’s Col­lege, Ox­ford (BA 1768, MA 1771). He served as cur­ate of Eck­ing­ton un­til his death.
