Biography

A Re­formed arch­dea­con based in Ba­sel, Burck­hardt was the son of Jo­hann Ru­dolf Burck­hardt and Es­ther So­cin, and hus­band of Ju­li­ane Ve­ro­ni­ka Mi­ville, with whom he had 9 children.
