Biography

Isaac was the son of Will­iam J. Car­man and El­len Cham­pi­on, and hus­band of Ju­lia A. Spen­cer (mar­ried 1855).

He gra­du­at­ed from Beth-any Co­llege, Beth-any, West Vir­gin­ia, in 1855.

He then en­tered the min­is­try, hold­ing pas­tor­ates at Ash­land, Ma­ri­et­ta, and Nor­walk, Ohio; Cham­paign, Il­li­nois; and (as of 1906) Ro­ches­ter, New York.
