Biography

Elizabeth was the wife of Da­ni­el Codn­er, some­time cur­ate of Pe­ter­bo­rough (mar­ried 1849).

At age 17, Eli­za­beth was ed­it­ing a ma­ga­zine for the Pa­ta­gon­ia Mis­sion, lat­er the South Am­eri­can Mis­sion­ary Society.

She al­so helped in the work of Will­iam Pen­ne­fa­ther at the Mild­may Pro­test­ant Mis­sion in Lon­don, and ed­it­ed the mis­sion’s month­ly Wo­man’s Work in the Great Har­vest Field.
