Biography

Congreve mar­ried twice, to Ma­ry (1822–1869) and Ma­til­da (1837–1926).

A phy­si­cian, he prac­ticed in Lon­don for ma­ny years. He al­so served as dea­con of the Bap­tist Church in Kye Lane, Peck­ham, and su­per­in­tend­ent of its Sun­day School.
