Biography

Cross at­tend­ed Phil­lips An­do­ver Aca­de­my, Am­herst Col­lege (BA 1886) and the An­do­ver Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry (BD 1891), and Dart­mouth Col­lege (DD 1906).

Ordained in De­cem­ber 1892, he served in Clif­ton­dale, Mas­sa­chu­setts (1892–96); Park Church, Spring­field, Mas­sa­chu­setts (1896–1901); at the Old South Church, Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts (1901–12); and Mil­ford, Mas­sa­chu­setts (1916–25).

Works

Allen was the son of Da­vid Cross and An­na East­man, and hus­band of Eth­el­yn Lou­ise Mar­shall.
